Two minutes to check if AI can read your site
You do not need us to find out. You can check the most important part yourself, right now.
You do not need us to find out whether Google and the AI assistants can read your website. You can check the most important part yourself, right now, in about two minutes. Here is how.
Step one: look at what the robots get
Open your website. Right click anywhere on the page and choose View page source. A new tab opens full of code. Do not panic, you are not reading it. This is the raw version, the plain page that arrives before any code runs. It is what a search crawler and an AI assistant actually read.
Step two: search for your own words
In that source tab, open find. Ctrl and F on Windows, Cmd and F on a Mac. Now search for things you know are on your page.
Your main heading. A service you offer. Your phone number. A line from a customer review.
Step three: read the result
If find jumps to them and highlights them, good news. Your content is in the raw version. The robots can read it, and you are in the game.
If find comes back with nothing, that is the problem. Your words are real to people and invisible to the machines. The page you are proud of is, to Google and ChatGPT, close to blank. That is why a business with a great site and great reviews can still get skipped when someone asks an assistant who to hire.
What to do if the words are not there
Do not rush out and buy a new website. The content usually exists, it is just loaded the wrong way, and moving it into the raw version is often a small job. The fix is real, and it is rarely a rebuild.
If you would rather have it checked properly, and see the structured data, the speed, and the rest at the same time, that is exactly what our free audit does. You have already done the hardest part by hand. The tool does the rest in a few seconds.
Give it a burl.
